Privacy Policy
How Horizon handles information submitted through the website and during project communications.
1. Introduction and scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Horizon Home Services, LLC collects, uses, shares, and retains information when you visit myhhsga.com, request an estimate, upload project photographs, or communicate with Horizon about residential services.
This policy applies to the Horizon Home Services website and related project communications. It does not govern third-party websites or services that maintain their own privacy practices.
2. Information we collect
When you submit the estimate form, Horizon collects your first and last name, telephone number, email address, project address, city, ZIP code, requested service, project description, preferred contact method, preferred estimate timing, referral source, and whether you consented to project-related text messages.
You may also upload project photographs. The form currently accepts up to five JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, or HEIF images, with a maximum size of 5 MB per image.
When the contact endpoint receives a submission, it derives a rate-limit key from the trimmed first value in the x-forwarded-for request header, or from the x-real-ip header when the first header is absent. If neither header is present, it uses the value unknown. The application does not independently validate these header values as IP addresses. It stores the key with request timestamps in memory. On a later request for the same key, timestamps older than the 10-minute rate-limit window are filtered before a limit of five contact-form requests per 10-minute window is applied. Entries are not separately scheduled for deletion; they remain only in the running server process until another request updates them or that process ends. The application does not include the key in the estimate-request email or write the rate-limit entries to a database. Hosting and network providers may separately process request metadata under their own practices.
When the Reviews page loads live reviews, or when you use its Refresh reviews button, the review endpoint applies a similar in-memory limit of ten requests per 10-minute window when an address is available in those request headers. The visitor's address is not included in the server-to-server Places API request or stored with the returned reviews. This in-memory limit is not a global rate limit across every server process.
If analytics is enabled, technical and usage information may also be collected, such as page visits, interactions, approximate location derived from an internet address, browser or device information, and identifiers used by the analytics provider.
The website stores your analytics consent choice in your browser's local storage so it can remember whether you accepted or declined analytics.
3. How information is used
- Review and respond to estimate requests.
- Discuss project scope, property conditions, scheduling, materials, and next steps.
- Prepare for estimates and coordinate residential services.
- Communicate through the contact method you request.
- Protect the website, limit abusive submissions, and troubleshoot delivery problems.
- Understand website use and improve site content when analytics is enabled.
- Maintain business records and meet applicable legal obligations.
4. Calls and project-related text messages
If you provide a telephone number, Horizon may call you about your inquiry or project.
Horizon sends project-related text messages only when you select the separate text-message consent checkbox on the estimate form. Choosing text as your preferred contact method does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive text messages.
Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not required to request an estimate.
You may opt out of project-related text messages at any time by replying STOP or contacting Horizon at brandon@myhhsga.com. You may reply HELP or contact Horizon by email for assistance.
Horizon handles text-message requests manually through its business cellphone. Opt-out requests are reviewed and honored manually; the website does not provide automated text messaging or automated STOP/HELP processing.
5. Customer photographs and marketing permission
Photographs uploaded through the current contact form are sent as attachments with the estimate-request email. Copies may remain in the receiving mailbox and in systems used to transmit or retain email.
Photographs submitted through the estimate form are used to evaluate the requested work. Submitting photographs does not grant Horizon permission to publish them.
Horizon may use photographs of completed projects for marketing when it has the necessary rights and permissions, including customer permission when required.
6. Google Analytics and tracking
The website is configured to use Google Analytics 4 only after a visitor explicitly accepts analytics. If you decline, the Google Analytics script is not loaded and analytics cookies are not set by the website.
If you accept, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga and related identifiers and collect page URLs, page titles, browser or device information, approximate location derived from an internet address, and website interactions to produce usage reports. Horizon's configured events do not include names, email addresses, telephone numbers, property addresses, estimate-form contents, or uploaded photographs. Learn how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
You can reopen the site's Privacy settings at any time and withdraw analytics consent. When consent is withdrawn, the website disables further Google Analytics collection and attempts to remove Google Analytics cookies accessible to the site. Google processes analytics information under its own terms and privacy practices.
7. Information sharing and service providers
Authorized Horizon personnel and, when reasonably necessary to evaluate, estimate, coordinate, or perform requested work, relevant subcontractors may receive customer information.
Horizon also uses service providers to operate the website and deliver communications. The current estimate form uses Resend to transmit inquiry details and uploaded photographs to designated Horizon email recipients. Hosting, email, analytics, and other service providers may process information for the services they provide and under their own terms.
The Reviews page requests current rating and review information from the Google Places API on the server. Review-author names, attribution, profile links, review links, and avatar images are supplied by Google. Loading an author avatar may cause a visitor's browser to connect to Google's systems, where Google may receive technical request information such as an internet address and browser information. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate review.
8. Retention and deletion
Horizon periodically reviews and deletes old inquiries but does not maintain a fixed retention period. Information may be retained as reasonably needed for project communications, business records, disputes, legal obligations, or other legitimate operational purposes.
The active contact-form workflow delivers inquiries and photographs by email. The website does not currently include a self-service deletion tool or an automatic deletion process for those email copies. Providers, recipient mailboxes, and backups may retain copies under their own retention practices.
9. Information security
The website processes estimate requests on the server and uses validation, submission limits, and file type and size restrictions. The active public estimate workflow does not write submissions to a website database or customer-relationship management system. After validation, it sends inquiry details and uploaded photographs through Resend to designated Horizon email recipients.
No transmission or storage method is completely secure. Horizon cannot guarantee absolute security, and this policy is not a security certification.
10. Privacy choices and requests
You may contact Horizon to ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you provided. Horizon will delete information where reasonably possible while retaining records it is legally required or reasonably needs to keep.
To make a request, email brandon@myhhsga.com and include enough information for Horizon to identify the relevant inquiry. Horizon may need to verify the request before acting.
You may accept, decline, or withdraw analytics consent through the persistent Privacy settings control on the website. Declining analytics does not prevent you from browsing the site or submitting an estimate request.
11. Third-party websites
The website may link to services such as Facebook, Google Maps, or other third-party websites. The Reviews page includes features and content supplied by Google Maps. Use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Horizon does not control those third-party services.
12. Children's privacy
The website and Horizon's residential contracting services are not directed to children. Horizon does not knowingly seek personal information from children through the estimate form. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information may contact Horizon to request review and deletion where reasonably possible.
13. Policy changes
Horizon may update this policy as the website, business practices, or service providers change. Updates will be reflected on this page.
14. Contact information
For privacy questions or requests, contact Horizon Home Services, LLC at brandon@myhhsga.com. No public storefront or mailing address is represented by this policy.
